Texas Hold'em poker rules:
How to play a texas holdem poker game.First thing to know about Texas Holdem is that all the standard poker hand combinations are used. There are no changes in how the hierarchy of combinations are considered winning and dominating one over another.
When talking about Texas Hold'em we should be sure you acknowledge and get familiar with the terms that are used in an ordinary holdem game and how different elements from the game are called in order for you not to get confused if entering this game for the fist time or just you have played different variations of poker before except this one.
How dealing and shuffling is organized?
Usually (as far as we have seen and that's a lot) the dealer in a casino off or on line never takes part in the game and just assist the dealing and the playing process. 52 cards are used like in any other game of poker, but dealing is a little bit different.
The specific thing comes before the very Deal, as the first two players in direction after the dealer are obliged to bet money on the table before any cards are being given to any of the gamblers. Those first players are called the ones to bet the "first blind" and the "second blind" which as you can guess comes from the fact that the rules state they must put money in the pot without knowing the cards that are going to be given to them, and that way it can be sure that every dealing is to be played cause the minimum bets persist every time. There is also a rule that defines that first of the players must put half of the minimum betting amount with the second demanded to leave the full minimum money. This is how every Texas Hold'em game of poker begins.
Dealing:
First cards deal
After assuring the half-of-minimum and the correspondent minimum bets are on the poker table, Dealer gives in a round direction one by one - altogether two cards to every player. Those first two cards dealt to the opponents are hidden cards that are known just by the person who has them, they are not public and not visible to other players (except if you want to show your cards and almost 100% lose).
Time for betting:
One time bet is expected from every player beginning with the "blind" ones first and continuing in the same direction as in the dealing. Three options are available to the players and they are Fold: meaning the particular player quits the game and leaves what he has given as a bet, Call: accepts the previously reached bet sum without changing it and Raise: raising the sum of money that has been reached until his turn with whatever sum he/she decides to as long as it is in the permitted limit allowed by the casino or online poker room that the game takes place in.
So much for private hidden cards, here comes the flop!
Flop
After finalizing betting round number one, which means no one said "Raise" in the last table rotation and there are still players that have not folded comes the so-called "flop". That is when the Dealer reveals 3 card from the deck faces up in order for all the players to be able to see them and those three cards are considered a valid combination with each player's private pair of cards to form a full five-card poker hand. But that is not all folks, as two more dealing rounds will take place, so stay tuned.
Second time for betting:
Now situation has changed a lot with every poker player having three more cards and they are all the same for all the opponents. So, logically the next bet is up to take place. Again the same rules as in the first one apply. Once they have acceptance with no more raises and alive players left in the game betting round #2 is done.
Next steps in the game of Texas Hold'em are similar as the previous:
One more card being revealed on the table from the deck ("Fourth street deal").
One more betting round.
One more card being put face up on the poker table called ("Fifth street deal"). Oh and this one last card on the table made public is also called the "River" as you can notice in various casinos they name it.
Final betting round!
As soon as the final bet is over with some sum on the table all playing cards are being showed by the opponents in the game and the winner is no more a mistery. The only exception when not all cards are shown is when all holdem players fold or only one stays and is the last opponent that has not Folded in the game. In the last case this player is automatically the winner and has no obligation to show the two cards hidden from the others as this way a lot of bluffs and other tricks can be used and in order the tactics not to be revealed and people analyzed the 'holds' are kept private.
